Absences (procedure for Nursery & Primary pupils)
In the event of an absence of one to three days, parents inform the main teacher and the TT the same morning before the start of classes (from 7.30 a.m. and by email).
For an absence exceeding 3 days, the student will provide a medical certificate to the tutor. In the event of a prolonged absence (exceeding a week), parents will contact the tutors to agree on a process to catch up on the material.
Requests for authorization for exceptional absence
Apart from a duly certified case of illness, a pupil can only be exempted from the obligation to attend classes with prior authorization. Except in cases of force majeure, this authorization must be requested by the parents at least seven days in advance. For an absence not exceeding one day, the request must be addressed to the tutor, for an absence lasting more than one day, the request must be addressed to the director (secretariat@eide.lu).
