Conference Committee

A Staff Committee has been set up, comprising all salaried employees and civil servants of the school. Its remit is as follows:

• Representing the staff in dealings with the Director, the Minister and the Students’ Committee and Parents’ Committe
• Submitting proposals to the Director on all matters relating to teaching and education at the school
• Making proposals concerning the ongoing training of staff
• Issuing general recommendations on the allocation of teaching, supervision and pupil care duties
• Preparing position papers for its representatives on the Education Council
• Organising cultural and social activities

The Director shall meet with the Staff Committee whenever it so requests. He shall provide it with all information relating to its various responsibilities, as well as information concerning the ongoing training of staff.

The Conference Committee is elected by the the teachers. It delegates 4 representatives to the Education Council. The conference committee of each high school has its own internal operating rules.
