Students’ Committee

A students' committee is set up at each secondary school. It shall be responsible for:

  • Representing pupils in dealings with the school management and on committees formed by teachers and parents respectively

  • Informing pupils of their rights and duties within the school community, in particular through class representatives

  • Preparing positions to be taken by its representatives on the Education Council

  • Organising cultural, social and sporting activities

  • Making proposals concerning school life and pupils' work

The Director meets with the Pupils' Committee whenever it so requests.

The Students’ Committee delegates 2 pupil representatives to the National Pupils’ Conference and the Education Council.

The election procedures, composition and operation of the Pupils' Committee are determined by grand-ducal regulation.
