ESEB
The Special Needs Support Team (ESEB) supports pupils with special educational needs, particularly those with learning, attention, behavioural, communication or academic adjustment difficulties.
In accordance with the law of 30 June 2023 on well-being and inclusion in education, the ESEB helps to promote the well-being, development, academic success and inclusion of each pupil, taking into account their individual needs, resources and school context.
ESEB takes an individualised, collaborative and caring approach, aiming to encourage pupils to participate in school life and access learning in an inclusive environment.
Missions and actions
The ESEB's missions are to:
- Identify and analyse the specific needs of students, in collaboration with teaching teams, families and relevant services.
- Contribute to the implementation of support measures and reasonable accommodations in order to promote access to learning and participation in school life.
- Support pupils throughout their school career, promoting their independence, inclusion and overall development.
- Observe classes and, where necessary, offer targeted educational and teaching support, either individually or in groups.
- Advise and support teaching teams, particularly in terms of differentiated teaching and adaptations.
- Work in close partnership with teachers, tutors, parents and school management, with a view to co-construction.
- Ensure the opening and monitoring of CIS (Commission for School Inclusion) files.
- Coordinate exchanges between the school, the family and external professionals, in accordance with the legal framework and confidentiality requirements.
- Organise and run information and awareness-raising workshops for pupils, parents and professionals on specific needs and school inclusion.
Through its actions, ESEB contributes to the creation of an accessible, inclusive and diversity-friendly school environment, enabling each student to develop their full potential.
Our team
The ESEB team is multidisciplinary and composed of psychologists, remedial teachers, educators, qualified and graduate educators, and specialised teachers.
It works closely with students, families, teaching teams, internal school services and external partners to ensure comprehensive, consistent and tailored support.
